There are some wonderful collectables being released in time for Christmas. These memorable products represent the festive themes of peace, love and goodwill.
Remembrance PNC
To be released on 11 November 2017, this elegantly designed postal numismatic cover features a rosemary theme, the fragrant herb that has long been a symbol of remembrance. Fittingly, a sprig of rosemary is often worn on Anzac Day and Remembrance Day to commemorate those who fought and those who perished in the Great War of 1914–18, as well as in all wars since.
The coin is a mint uncirculated 2017 Remembrance coin, issued by the Royal Australian Mint.
International Day of People with Disability postage prepaid envelope and postal numismatic cover
In 2017, we celebrate the 25th anniversary of the International Day of People with Disability. The day, sanctioned by the United Nations, is held on 3 December each year, and seeks to increase public awareness, understanding and acceptance of people with disability and celebrate their achievements and contributions. This year’s patron is Dylan Alcott OAM, a Gold Medal Paralympian and winner of Paralympian of the Year in 2016.
A special postal numismatic cover and postage prepaid envelope was released on 14 November, in the lead-up to this important day.
70th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip postal numismatic cover
Princess Elizabeth and Prince Philip first met when they attended the 1934 wedding of Prince Philip’s cousin, Princess Marina of Greece, to the Duke of Kent, an uncle of Princess Elizabeth. The couple were married in Westminster Abbey on 20 November 1947, which means they celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary this year.
To commemorate this historic occasion, we will release this attractive limited edition postal numismatic cover on 20 November 2017. It includes the international rate stamp from the Queen’s Birthday 2017 stamp issue, which displays a photograph of the couple at Royal Ascot.
The coin is a Perth Mint uncirculated $1 aluminium bronze coin. The coin design includes the coat of arms of the Queen and Prince Philip and flowers from the floral emblems of England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
