There are interesting island fauna to admire, including the beautiful and playful dolphins of the Cocos (Keeling) Islands, and the attractive shell species and incredible Robber Crabs of Christmas Island. Stunning ice flowers have been captured from glass on Australian Antarctic Territory research stations. And we showcase the incredible work of renowned photographer Frank Hurley, who captured Ernest Shackleton’s ill-fated Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition in treacherous conditions.
