In 2015, Holden achieved its 30th win at Bathurst – a feat not yet achieved by any other car manufacturer.
To celebrate, Australia Post is releasing a licensed stamp pack on 19 September 2016. The pack contains 30 $1 Map of Australia stamps (from the Love to Celebrate stamp issue) and the stamp tabs feature action shots of each of the Holden cars that have been a part of this historic milestone – from the Monaro GTS 327 to the VF Commodore.
From Bruce McPhee and Barry Mullholland’s first victory for Holden in 1968, through to the success of Larry Perkins, Greg Murphy, Mark Skaife and Craig Lowndes, this stamp pack also highlights the drivers who have conquered the Mount Panorama Circuit at Bathurst. And the name most synonymous with Bathurst victory is Peter “Brocky” Brock. Peter Brock holds the record on the mountain, with nine race wins during the 1970s and 1980s. Each of his stunning victories was achieved in a Holden.
The 30 Wins for Holden at Bathurst stamp pack is available from 19 September 2016 online, at participating Post Offices and via mail order on 1800 331 794, while stocks last.
