In the lead-up to Christmas, Australia Post has released some beautiful and festive stamps to help you to Spread the Merry to friends and family far and wide.
Christmas-themed stamps
This year’s traditional Christmas stamps (65c, the domestic Christmas-card rate and $2.60, the international Christmas-card rate), pay homage to the use of stained glass as an architectural art form in churches and other public buildings.
The minisheet illustration presents a Gothic-style church facade, with the stamps comprising two stylised stained-glass windows, with scenes that feature the Archangel Gabriel and the Madonna and Child.
The secular stamp designs present Christmas greetings and good tidings, together with a colourful Christmas star motif, using shapes and colours not unlike sections of stained glass. These stamps are sure to brighten up your Christmas envelopes.
For this year’s bright and cheerful Christmas Island Christmas stamp issue, the Christmas Island airport features as Santa’s arrival point on the island. Santa’s mode of transport is not his familiar sleigh, but a festive plane captained by his trusty reindeer. He has come to deliver gifts to an eager crowd of the island’s fauna.
The Christmas 2022 range of collectables includes booklets of 20 of each of the 65c self-adhesive stamp designs (traditional and secular), complete with convenient “card only” stickers. For that extra special touch, we've released embellished sheetlets of 20 x 65c stamps, also with “card only” stickers, available on their own or within a pack (one for both the secular Christmas and Christmas Island Christmas designs).

Personalise your Christmas greetings
This traditional and secular Christmas stamp designs are available as Personalised Stamps (until 31 December 2022). This allows you to place your own photograph into the stamp tab, to produce a personalised sheetlet of 20 Christmas stamps.+
The process is simple. Just select your stamp design, upload your photo and complete the checkout process. Once your application is approved, your will receive your festive stamp sheetlets in the mail.^ Christmas-rate stamps are valid for postage during November and December.
Maxicards can be Christmas cards!
The maxicards released as part of our Christmas stamp issues are postage paid, so you can collect these beautiful designs or send as a Christmas greeting to friends and family, within Australia or overseas. What a great way to stay in touch with family and friends over the festive season..
The Christmas 2022 stamp issue and Christmas Island Christmas 2022 stamp issue are available now, online, at participating Post Offices and via mail order on 1800 331 794, while stocks last.
Seasonal postage rates are valid during November and December.
