Our February licensed collectable releases include some love-themed products, ideal for Valentine’s Day. We also celebrate the 90th birthday of Popeye the sailor man, and we release the latest in our series of Ford and Holden racing-car postal numismatic covers (PNCs).

Looney Tunes loved-up collectables

Released 5 February 2019, in time for Valentine’s Day, are two Looney Tunes collectables that are sure to help you spread the love: a licensed stamp pack with 20 Love Bird stamps from the newly released Moments to Treasure stamp issue, and a postal numismatic cover containing a coloured, uncirculated TVD$1 coin from The Perth Mint that features a “Lovestruck” Bugs and Lola Bunny design.

Popeye licensed stamp pack

Popeye began life on 17 January 1929, as part of a newspaper comic strip. During the 1930s, this spinach-guzzling sailor man began starring in his own comic strip, comic books and animated movie shorts, with an animated cartoon series premiering in 1960. Also released 5 February 2019 and featuring 20 Sparkler stamps from the Moments to Treasure stamp issue, the Popeye licensed stamp pack includes colourful images of Popeye, his “goil” Olive Oyl, his nemesis Brutus and other iconic characters in the stamp tabs.

Ford and Holden postal numismatic covers

On 12 February 2019, we release the latest in our series of PNCs that celebrate icons of motor-racing from the stables of Ford and Holden. There’s a PNC featuring the 1981 XD Falcon ‘Tru Blu’, which powered Dick Johnson to victory at Bathurst in 1981, and a Holden 1984 VK Commodore PNC, which celebrates the Day-Glo coloured “Big Banger”. Each PNC contains a 50 cent coloured, uncirculated coin from the Royal Australian Mint.

The Looney Tunes Loved-up collectables and the Popeye licensed stamp pack will be available from 5 February 2019, online, at participating Post Offices and via mail order on 1800 331 794, while stocks last.

The Ford 1981 XD Falcon ‘Tru Blu’ PNC and the Holden 1984 VK Commodore PNC will be available from 12 February 2019, through the channels above.
