Self-adhesive stamps produced by Australia Post will now feature micro cuts.

Micro cuts are small security cuts that improve the adhesion of the stamp to the article surface and also prevent self-adhesive stamps from being removed easily for possible re-use. Micro cuts are already in use on the Australia Post Priority Paid label.

The first self-adhesive booklet to feature micro cuts is the Centenary of Lions Clubs International self-adhesive booklet, which was released on 7 June 2017, and the first self-adhesive roll with micro cuts will be the Dragonflies stamp issue, which will be released in August as part of Stamp Collecting Month.
