In the lead-up to Christmas, Australia Post has released some beautiful and festive stamps to help you to spread some Christmas cheer to friends and family far and wide.

While our full Christmas stamp issues were released on 1 November 2021, the international-rate Christmas stamps were made available from 1 October 2021, to help ensure that our customers’ international Christmas mail reaches its intended destination on time, in light of the impacts of COVID-19 on worldwide mail delivery.

Christmas-themed stamps

This year’s traditional Christmas stamps (65c, the domestic Christmas-card rate and $2.40, the international Christmas-card rate), feature religious artworks made from terracotta clay and glazed in a technique first introduced in Renaissance Italy.

The secular Christmas stamps showcase the custom of celebrating Christmas with sugary gingerbread treats, in this case a star, gift and tree. These stamps are sure to brighten up your Christmas envelopes.

In this year’s bright and cheerful Christmas Island Christmas stamps, Santa is taking a well-earned break from delivering presents, to enjoy the wonderful snorkelling opportunities afforded by the island’s warm waters. He’s joined by some local friends, who have been eagerly awaiting his arrival.

The Christmas 2021 product range includes booklets of 20 of each of the 65c self-adhesive stamp designs (traditional and secular), complete with convenient “card only” stickers. For that extra special touch, we've released embellished sheetlet packs for both Christmas 2021 and Christmas Island Christmas, featuring 20 x 65c stamps and “card only” stickers.
