While famous globally for rallying, Le Mans and Formula One success, Ford’s Australian crowning achievements have centred strongly around ‘tin-top’ touring car racing, with its cars taking 24 touring car championships and 19 Bathurst victories to date.

This action-packed stamp pack contains 24 Map of Australia stamps, plus images that capture a selection of Ford’s 24 touring car championships and 19 Bathurst victories over the years. It also includes a narrative on the highlights of Ford Australia’s achievements in motor racing – from the Ford Falcon’s 1962 victory at the Armstrong 500 to the Sierra Cosworth’s dominance at Bathurst 1988 and 1989, and more.

Torana 45th anniversary limited edition medallion cover

This medallion has been produced exclusively for Australia Post and is limited to 2,000. The medallion cover showcases the iconic LJ Torana GTR XU-1, which celebrates its 45th anniversary this year. Which die-hard car fan could possibly forget Peter Brock’s wet weather victory in the Holden LJ Torana GTR XU-1 at the 1972 Hardie Ferodo 500, the first of five Bathurst wins for this model.

Ford Cortina PNC

This postal numismatic cover, limited to 9,000, highlights the iconic 1965 Ford Cortina MKI GT500. The cover includes a Map of Australia stamp, with the Cortina pictured in the stamp tab, and a special coloured coin from the Royal Australian Mint.
