Hello Collectors
Welcome to our May edition of the Stamp Bulletin in 2025.
We begin the month of stamp issues with World Heritage Islands, featuring beautiful imagery of K’gari (Fraser Island), Lord Howe Island Group and Macquarie Island.
Our next release in May, Endangered Freshwater Fishes, shines a spotlight on the species of freshwater fishes at risk of extinction. Australia has more than 300 species of native freshwater fish, of which between 60 and 90 species are in danger of extinction. This collection has been designed to raise awareness of this dire situation.
Corals of Cocos (Keeling) Islands, our last release in May 2025, highlights the intricate details of these fragile corals, all of which are significantly under threat by global warming and rising sea levels.
June begins with the stamp issue Bark Painting of Arnhem Land showcasing bark painting by three eminent Yolŋu artists associated with Milingimbi and Ramingining in north-central Arnhem Land, Northern Territory. David Malangi, Tom Djäwa and Jimmy Wululu depict totems and creation stories from their clans and Country. All three bark paintings featured on the stamps are held in the collections of the National Museum of Australia, Canberra.
Our next release in June, Norfolk Island Nature, feature two iconic Norfolk Island plants, one introduced and one indigenous. The minisheet offers a picturesque view of the historical Kingston Common Reserve, with distinctive Norfolk Island pine trees surrounding a pastoral landscape of gently rolling green hills.
Finally, you can find PNCs commemorating significant milestones such as the 60th anniversary of RAM and the Centenary of Royal Australian Corps of Signal. Our new licensed stamp packs include favourites such as Cinderella, Star Wars and a limited clearance on Disney Collectables. A sneak peek of our new Stitch Stamp Collection showcases the fun character with an exclusive die-cut minisheet and gutter block. A must for Disney collectors!
Information on the ANDA Perth Money Expo held from 21-22 June 2025 can also be found inside this issue.
