August is a bumper month for car fans! On 31 August 2018, we release some fantastic licensed stamp packs and postal numismatic covers (PNCs) that will excite Ford and Holden enthusiasts alike.
  

Holden Workhorses licensed stamp pack

Holden “workhorses” are those vehicles that have been used in various important vocations and applications across Australia, from farming to the police force and even the postal service. This pack celebrates these transport revolutionaries, from the 1951 Holden Utility to the latest VF11 Commodore, and the role they have played in helping the nation. As well as 48 Map of Australia stamps from the Love the Celebrate stamp issue, the pack contains fantastic historical and colour imagery, together with some iconic models in the stamp tabs.

Holden Racing licensed stamp pack

Motorsport is a part of Holden’s DNA, having raced its vehicles in Australia and overseas with great success for more than 50 years. This pack celebrates Holden’s racing pedigree, which has seen 32 wins at Bathurst as well as hundreds of victories across a range of racing categories. This exciting pack includes fantastic racing-themed imagery and contains 48 Map of Australia stamps from the Love to Celebrate stamp issue. In the stamp tabs are sensational posters featuring iconic race-winning models of Monaro, Torana and Commodore.

1970 Holden HT Monaro GTS 350 postal numismatic cover

The 1970 Holden HT Monaro GTS 350 was purpose-built to beat the American Mustangs and Camaros at their own game. This all-Australian red and yellow coupe powered Norm Beechy to victory in the Australian Tour Car Championship in 1970, the first time a Holden (and a locally produced car) had secured victory in this event. This cover contains a Royal Australian Mint 50-cent coloured, uncirculated coin with an HT Monaro GTS 350 design.

Ford Mustang licensed stamp pack

The Ford Mustang premiered on 17 April 1964. Ever since, Mustang models have become prized possessions of their owners and objects of desire for many others. This pack features 24 magnificent Mustang models, starting with the 1964 ½ Mustang Convertible and concluding with the 2018 Mustang GT, which will debut in the 2019 Australian Supercar Championship. The pack also contains 48 Map of Australia stamps from the Love to Celebrate stamp issue.

Ford 1969 Boss 302 Mustang Trans-Am postal numismatic cover

Allan Moffat’s 1969 Ford Trans-Am Mustang is considered one of the greatest muscle cars of all time. The bright-red two-door coupe, imported from the USA, helped Moffat to win 101 races from 151 starts, with a top lap-time of 2 minutes and 22.4 seconds, clocked at Bathurst in 1972. This cover contains a Royal Australian Mint 50 cent coloured, uncirculated coin with a Boss 302 Mustang Trans-Am design.
